Apprenticeships

About Apprenticeships

North West Kent College offer a wide range of Apprenticeships courses. We can give young people thinking about starting an Apprenticeship, the information they need to make that decision. Employers, who are thinking about taking on an Apprentice, will see why so many businesses are getting involved in Apprenticeships and how they affect their organisation.

Apprenticeships offer young people the chance to leave school at 16 and go straight into work. This enables them to earn while they learn and establish a worthwhile career path. Plus, it ensures that they adhere to the new government legislation of Raising the Participation Age (RPA),
to stay in education until the age of 18.

Although in most cases, those looking at starting an Apprenticeship will need to be employed, Apprenticeship opportunities may arise while students are enrolled on on a course at the College, however, this is not guaranteed.

North West Kent College has been offering work-based training and qualifications, for more than twenty years. Our reputation for providing quality training is supported by local organisations that work closely with our Commercial Training Division. They help provide
Apprenticeship opportunities for our students, within the local community.
