We’ve invested nearly £90 million in new facilities at our campuses at Dartford and Gravesend which provide some of the best training facilities you will find anywhere.
Just to give you some idea of what we’ve created:-
- The Miskin Theatre with its purpose built auditoriums, state of the art sound and recording studios and dance studios; not to mention the extensive media facilities and art and design areas
- The Österberg Sports Centre at Dartford providing one of the largest indoor sports facilities for any FE College complementing our own swimming pool and gym facilities at Gravesend as well as extensive outdoor pitches
- The SusCon centre for sustainable construction at The Bridge in Dartford offering pioneering and award winning training in Construction and Engineering supporting our substantial facilities at Gravesend in most aspects of construction, engineering and motor vehicle training which will be boosted from 2012/13 with new construction courses running at Dartford
- Salon standard hairdressing and beauty therapy facilities offering industry standard training at both Dartford and Gravesend and innovative teaching spaces for health and child care courses on both sites
- High quality Business and Computing suites to support our long established Business Academy and our new Computing Academy from this September
- The brand new Gallery Training Restaurant at Gravesend open to the public, allowing students to train in a ‘real life’ environment
We achieved our best ever success levels in 2010/11 as more than 80% of students successfully passed full time courses ranking us the most successful College in Kent on that measure.

Our free Shuttle Bus service from Dartford Station and our new service to be run around Gravesend from this September help make us more accessible than ever.
Our Bright Beginnings Nurseries at both Dartford and Gravesend, together with our Bodymatters Gyms on both sites, help make those lifestyle challenges easier for you.
With extensive free car parking at both sites, coming to College has never been easier and more affordable.
More than just an FE College…
As well as offering great vocational training in a whole range of areas, we are also very successful in a number of specialist fields that help make us stand out from the crowd.
The Learning Shop at Bluewater is a pioneering project that has been running for over 10 years that offers training, apprenticeships and job placements in partnership with Bluewater and Job Centre Plus.
Maritime Operations at Thameside offers both national and international training for a whole range of nautical courses.
The Higher Education Centre @ North West Kent offers a real alternative to students wishing to take a HE course but not wanting to have the costs of living away from home in residential accommodation at a traditional university or wanting to combine home commitments and study in a more suitable way.
Amazing staff
Having world class facilities is fantastic, but the aspect that we always receive great feedback on is our supportive and highly skilled staff. Industry practitioners, including award winners in their own right, can be found in every area of the College ensuring that when you leave College you will have been prepared to enter work or progress on to further study and higher education, confident that you are ready and qualified to move on.
It’s not just about the teaching though as our Student Services team are also on hand to make sure that your experience at College is as rounded as it can be, providing fun opportunities outside the classroom, as well as great independent support and guidance.
